Musicians hailing from 18 countries and 16 Indian states will gather in Bengaluru for the Brillante Piano Festival organized by Chokkapan S. This city values diverse forms of arts and culture, notes Khyochano TCK, a Naga pianist who is bringing the festival to Bengaluru this weekend.
Khyochano emphasizes the strong sense of community in Bengaluru, making it an ideal host for the festival that originated in Kohima, Nagaland in 2017. The festival will showcase performances, workshops, competitions, and masterclasses spanning various genres like jazz, contemporary, and classical music.
Additionally, the festival features a platform for Specially Abled Musicians (SAM), reflecting an inclusive approach initiated in 2023 to celebrate and admire exceptional talent without singling out individuals.
Prior to the festival, a street piano event was organized on Church Street, highlighting the community's engagement through music. This event not only provided entertainment but also promoted creative expression and unity among diverse groups, underscoring the transformative power of music and art in connecting communities.
